The settlement Loučovice was founded in the first half of 14th century.Oldrich from Rozmberk built the Church St. Oldrich at the same time. The Chapel St. Prokop was built on the left of bank the river Vltava about 1220 -1250.This is older. The investor Mr Porak built factories which made a paper at Loucovice and St. Prokop in 1885. These factories are there up to the present day.Next important turning point for the village was building the dam in the 1950s.
